First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at 72 adults having major abdominal surgery to see if different low-flow desflurane anesthesia methods affect brain activity during surgery and memory or attention afterward. Participants will have their brain activity monitored during the operation and take memory tests within 24 hours after surgery. The goal is to find out which low-flow strategy is safest for cognitive recovery.
