First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at how different low-flow desflurane anesthesia strategies affect brain activity and thinking skills after major abdominal surgery. About 72 adults aged 18-75 will receive anesthesia at different flow rates, and their brain activity will be monitored during surgery. Afterward, they will take memory and attention tests to see if the flow rate makes a difference in recovery. The goal is to find the safest anesthesia approach for cognitive function.
