First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests whether a low dose (82.5 mg) or standard dose (165 mg) of pregabalin given before surgery better controls pain and reduces the need for stronger opioids in adults having laparoscopic abdominal surgery. About 80 participants will receive one dose before surgery, and their pain levels, opioid use, and side effects will be monitored for 24 hours. The goal is to find the best balance between pain relief and safety.
