Cancer study aims to tame treatment side effects with less medication

NCT ID NCT07167251

Summary

This study is testing whether a lower, starting dose of steroids (like prednisolone) is enough to treat liver inflammation that sometimes occurs as a side effect of modern cancer immunotherapies. It will involve about 63 adult cancer patients who develop this specific liver issue. The goal is to see if this approach controls the problem while causing fewer steroid-related side effects and without needing to stop the cancer treatment.
