Summary
This study tested whether a lower dose of the drug cyclophosphamide can prevent graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) in people receiving a stem cell transplant for blood cancers or disorders. 35 adults with a related donor took part. The lower dose worked as well as the standard dose and helped blood cells recover faster.
