First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at 120 shift workers with prediabetes or type 2 diabetes who were overweight or obese. Participants followed one of three low-calorie diets for 12 weeks, each with a different amount of protein at dinner. The goal was to see which diet best improved blood sugar, insulin levels, and body fat. The results could help shift workers find a practical way to manage their health.
