First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study looked at whether losartan, a blood pressure medicine, can lower uric acid levels in children with proteinuric kidney disease. Forty children aged 3 to 12 who were already taking enalapril took part. They received either losartan or enalapril for one month, then switched after a washout period. The goal was to see if losartan helps control uric acid better than enalapril alone.
