First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study is for young adults (ages 18-60) with a heart condition called mitral annular disjunction, which can raise the risk of dangerous heart rhythms and sudden cardiac death. Researchers will implant a small device under the skin to continuously monitor heartbeats for up to two years. The goal is to learn how often arrhythmias occur in people who don't yet have clear symptoms, which may help doctors decide who needs more advanced treatments in the future.
