NCT ID NCT07436962

First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study is for young adults (ages 18-60) with a heart condition called mitral annular disjunction (MAD) and scarring in the heart muscle seen on MRI. Even though they don't currently need a permanent heart device, they have a higher risk of dangerous heart rhythms. Researchers will implant a small loop recorder under the skin to watch for abnormal rhythms for up to two years. The goal is to learn who might benefit from a defibrillator to prevent sudden cardiac death.
