Hair loss drug shows promise in Long-Term trial

Summary
This study looked at the long-term safety and effectiveness of a drug called CTP-543 for adults with moderate to severe alopecia areata, a condition that causes patchy hair loss. About 400 people who had already completed a previous CTP-543 trial took the drug for up to 108 weeks. Researchers measured hair regrowth using a scalp scoring system and tracked side effects to see if the treatment remains safe and helpful over time.
