First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tests whether repeating a simple arm-cuff procedure (remote ischemic preconditioning) over several months can improve blood flow to the heart muscle in 210 people who have had coronary artery bypass surgery. The goal is to see if this safe, non-drug approach helps the heart heal better and reduces future heart problems. Participants will have imaging tests to measure heart blood flow at 3 and 6 months, and be followed for one year.
