First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tracked 150 adults who had severe COVID-19 pneumonia to see if they developed long-term lung damage. Researchers used CT scans to check for scarring (interstitial lung disease) in the medium and long term. The goal was to understand how often these complications occur, similar to what was seen after earlier coronavirus outbreaks.
