Summary
This study looked at whether using a heat and moisture exchanger (HME) called Provox Life can improve lung symptoms in people who had their voice box removed (laryngectomy). 80 adults who were at least 3 months past surgery and not currently using any HME took part. Researchers measured coughing, sputum, and quality of life to see if the device helps over the long term.
