New shot aims to ease agony after common surgery

NCT ID NCT07442539

Summary

This study is testing a new, long-acting numbing medicine to see if it works better than the standard one at controlling pain after hemorrhoid surgery. Researchers will compare pain levels, how much extra pain medicine patients need, and recovery quality in about 156 adults. The goal is to find a simpler, more effective way to manage the severe pain that often follows this procedure.
