Scientists probe cell energy in long COVID mystery
NCT ID NCT07134673
First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at how tiny structures inside cells called mitochondria use oxygen to make energy. Researchers want to see if this process is different in people with long COVID compared to those who fully recovered. About 54 adults will wear activity trackers, answer surveys, and give blood samples. The goal is to better understand long COVID, not to test a treatment.
