First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested an 8-session online logotherapy program for family members of people with schizophrenia. 42 family members took part, with half receiving the program and half not. Researchers measured changes in meaning in life, hope, and depression. The goal was to see if this type of support could improve emotional well-being for caregivers.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- logotherapy-based psychoeducation
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could offer a simple, online program to help family members of people with schizophrenia feel more hopeful and less depressed.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early study with only 42 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The program is not a treatment for schizophrenia itself.
