Can local foods in a mediterranean diet beat a standard diet for weight loss?
NCT ID NCT07461870
Summary
This study is testing whether a Mediterranean diet adapted to use local Indonesian foods is better than a standard low-calorie diet for helping obese women lose weight and improve their health. Researchers are comparing the two diets in 54 participants over 4 weeks, looking at changes in body measurements, blood markers, and gut bacteria. All participants receive diet education and activity guidance, and their progress is tracked through weekly online check-ins.
