Can a local twist on the mediterranean diet beat obesity?

NCT ID NCT07461870

Summary

This study is testing whether a Mediterranean diet adapted to use local Indonesian foods is better than a standard low-calorie diet for helping obese women lose weight and improve their health. Researchers are comparing the two diets in 54 participants over 4 weeks, looking at changes in weight, body measurements, gut bacteria, and blood markers. The goal is to see if the local Mediterranean diet leads to better weight loss and health improvements.
