Transplant offers new hope for advanced colon cancer patients

NCT ID NCT04742621

Summary

This study is testing whether liver transplantation can help patients with colorectal cancer that has spread only to their liver and cannot be removed by standard surgery. Researchers will track 20 carefully selected patients who receive a transplant to see how long they survive and how long they stay cancer-free. This approach is being explored for patients who have responded well to chemotherapy but still have liver tumors that cannot be surgically removed.
