First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tested a special type of scan (SPECT/CT) that uses a safe radioactive tracer to measure how well the liver is working in people with liver cancer. The goal was to see if the scan could track changes in liver function before, during, and after radiation or surgery. About 41 adults with liver cancer took part. The study was stopped early, but the information gathered may help doctors plan more personalized treatments in the future.
