Fatty liver scars may signal hidden heart danger

NCT ID NCT04774302

Summary

This study aimed to understand the link between fatty liver disease and the risk of developing heart disease. Researchers examined 292 patients with fatty liver disease, using non-invasive scans to measure liver scarring and check for early signs of heart artery disease. The goal was to see if the amount of liver scarring could help predict a person's future risk of heart problems.
