First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a new ultrasound feature that measures liver fat in children with or at risk for fatty liver disease. Researchers compared the ultrasound results to MRI scans, which are the current standard. The goal was to see if the simpler, faster ultrasound could give reliable fat measurements. Thirty children aged 5 to 21 took part.
