New scan could replace risky biopsy for organ donors
NCT ID NCT07451379
Summary
This study aims to see if a quick, non-invasive scan called FibroScan is as accurate as a standard liver biopsy for measuring fat in a potential donor's liver. Researchers will compare the two methods in 100 adults who are eligible to donate part of their liver. The goal is to find a safer, easier way to screen donors without the risks of a biopsy.
