First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding a painless liver ultrasound (Fibroscan®) to standard health questions helps find people with liver damage from alcohol and weight. Fourteen English- or Spanish-speaking adults from underserved communities took part. The goal was to see if this approach is practical and acceptable, not to treat the disease.
