First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tests a new portable device called LiverScope that uses simplified MRI technology to measure fat in the liver without needles or surgery. About 50 adults with known or suspected fatty liver disease will have a one-time scan with LiverScope, a standard MRI, and optional FibroScan to see how well the new device compares. The goal is to make liver disease diagnosis easier and more accessible in outpatient clinics.
