New weapon against spreading cancer: immune drug delivered directly to liver

NCT ID NCT07172282

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new approach for people with colorectal cancer that has spread to the liver. Researchers want to see if a drug called Nelitolimod, delivered directly to the liver through a special catheter, can safely help the immune system fight the cancer before surgery to remove the tumors. The main goal is to check if this process is practical and safe for 10 patients who are already scheduled for standard liver surgery.
