New scan study aims to catch deadly liver cancer sooner
NCT ID NCT07291141
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to detect liver cancer early in people with advanced liver disease (cirrhosis). Researchers will follow 600 adults with cirrhosis, comparing two scanning methods—MRI and ultrasound—to see which is more effective at spotting cancer. The study will also track how body composition and muscle mass relate to disease progression and cancer risk over time.
