Liver cancer patients may skip hospital stay in new study

Summary
This study tests whether people with liver cancer can receive a treatment that goes into the liver's blood vessels (called TACE or TARE) as an outpatient instead of staying overnight in the hospital. About 206 adults with primary liver cancer will be randomly assigned to either outpatient or standard inpatient care. The goal is to see if the outpatient approach improves patient satisfaction and is safe, while also being cost-effective.
