New tooth-replacement method avoids drilling down healthy teeth
NCT ID NCT07434700
First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tested a conservative, tooth-friendly way to replace a missing upper front tooth using a ceramic bridge bonded to one or two neighboring teeth. Twenty-three adults took part, and the bridges were checked for at least 12 months to see how well they held up. The approach aims to avoid the need to grind down healthy teeth, as is done with traditional bridges.
