New tooth replacement method avoids drilling down healthy teeth
NCT ID NCT07434700
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested a conservative dental bridge for replacing a missing upper front tooth. Instead of grinding down adjacent teeth like a traditional bridge, the new design bonds a ceramic false tooth to the back of one or two neighboring teeth. Twenty-three patients were followed for at least a year to see how well the bridge held up. The approach aims to save healthy tooth structure while restoring a natural smile.
