Text messages and Doctor's advice team up to close early learning gap for latino toddlers
NCT ID NCT04609553
Summary
This study tested whether adding text message reminders and help accessing community resources to standard doctor's office reading advice could improve language and social skills in young Latino children from low-income families. Researchers enrolled 662 parent-child pairs and randomly assigned them to receive different combinations of these supports. The goal was to see if these extra steps could help prevent developmental delays by encouraging more reading and interaction at home.
