Scientists test liquid metformin in healthy volunteers

Summary
This early-stage study aims to understand how two new liquid forms of the diabetes medication metformin affect blood sugar levels in healthy adults, compared to the standard pill. Researchers will give 24 healthy volunteers single or short-term doses of the different formulations in a random order. They will measure blood sugar frequently over four hours to see if the liquid versions work differently than the tablet.
