Blood test may replace needle biopsies for endometrial cancer monitoring

NCT ID NCT05049538

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a blood test, called a liquid biopsy, can find cancer cells and predict if endometrial cancer will return. Researchers will collect blood and tissue samples from 1000 women with endometrial cancer before and after treatment. The goal is to see if this non-invasive test works as well as or better than traditional tissue biopsies for tracking the cancer.
