Blood test may unmask cancers behind mysterious nerve disorders

NCT ID NCT07491328

First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study explores whether a special blood test can detect tumor cells in people with paraneoplastic neurological syndromes (PNS), a condition where the immune system attacks nerves due to an undetected cancer. Researchers will collect blood from 60 participants, including those with and without known tumors, to look for circulating tumor cells and DNA. The goal is to improve early cancer detection in these patients.
