Blood test could unlock secrets of brain vessel malformations
NCT ID NCT07103304
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at 16 adults with brain arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) to see if a liquid biopsy from the drainage vein can detect gene changes that may cause the condition. Researchers hope to better understand these abnormal blood vessels, which can rupture and cause serious bleeding. The findings could lead to targeted drug treatments in the future.
