Salt water shots could melt away fatty lumps
NCT ID NCT06820164
First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026
Summary
This study is testing whether injecting cooled or warmed salt water (saline) directly into lipomas (harmless fatty lumps under the skin) can shrink them. About 20 adults with at least one lipoma will receive up to four treatments, each four weeks apart. The goal is to find a less painful, non-surgical option for people who want their lipomas removed for cosmetic reasons or because they cause discomfort.
