Summary
This study tested if a lip bumper appliance helps straighten lower front teeth faster after planned tooth extractions, and if it affects gum health. 44 patients needing braces and extractions were randomly assigned to get the lip bumper or no extra appliance. Researchers checked their teeth alignment and gum health monthly for three months to compare the two groups.
