First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tested whether a lip bumper appliance helps straighten lower front teeth faster after removing certain back teeth. 44 people with crooked lower teeth were split into two groups: one got a lip bumper, the other did not. Researchers measured tooth alignment and gum health over three months to see if the appliance made a difference.
