Summary
This study compares an intensive weight loss program—including meal replacements, counseling, and weight-loss medication—to standard care for adults with obesity. About 480 participants aged 18 to 60 with a BMI of 30 or higher (or lower for certain ethnic groups) are involved. The goal is to see if the intensive approach leads to greater weight loss, better quality of life, and is cost-effective.
