Light before the knife: new study tests laser therapy for nose job recovery

Summary

This study tests if shining red and infrared light on the face one hour before nose surgery can lessen swelling and bruising after the operation. Sixty adults having a standard nose job will be randomly assigned to get real light therapy or a fake treatment. Researchers will measure swelling on day 3 and track recovery for up to 12 months.
