Shining a light on sleepiness: new therapy tested for sleep apnea fatigue
NCT ID NCT06698809
Summary
This study is testing whether a non-invasive light therapy can help reduce daytime sleepiness in people who already use a CPAP machine for sleep apnea but still feel tired. Researchers will use a special red light device on participants' heads to see if it improves alertness and brain function. The study aims to gather initial data on whether this approach could become a new treatment option for persistent sleepiness.
