First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested whether a special light treatment called photobiomodulation (PBM) can help healthy adults who feel sleepy during the day or have mild mood complaints. Eighty participants used a light device at home for two weeks while wearing a Fitbit and providing blood and saliva samples. The goal was to see if the light improves sleep, mood, and overall well-being, and to understand how it works at the cellular level.
