Shining a light on sore muscles: can light therapy boost athletic recovery?
NCT ID NCT05989815
Summary
This study tested whether a special type of light therapy could help professional soccer players recover faster from hard workouts. Thirty athletes were divided into groups to receive either real or fake light treatment before or after a muscle-straining exercise routine. Researchers measured muscle soreness, blood markers of muscle damage, and jumping performance over several days to see if the light made a difference.
