Could a beam of light ease your aching knees?
NCT ID NCT07057063
Summary
This study is testing whether a special near-infrared light treatment can reduce pain and inflammation in people with chronic knee pain caused by synovitis. 80 adults aged 40-80 with persistent knee pain and confirmed inflammation will receive either the real light therapy or a sham (fake) treatment twice a week for five weeks. Researchers will measure changes in pain, knee swelling seen on ultrasound, and physical function to see if the light therapy provides meaningful relief.
