First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested whether shining low-level laser or LED light on specific hand acupoints can help people with insomnia relax and sleep better. 120 participants received either real or sham light therapy, and researchers measured heart rate variability and meridian energy before and after. The goal was to see if these light treatments could offer a drug-free way to improve sleep and reduce anxiety.
