First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether shining a specific type of light (850 nm) on the head can improve brain function in people who have had a stroke and have trouble speaking (aphasia). About 66 adults who had a stroke within the past year will receive the light treatment, and researchers will measure changes in brain waves and language skills. The goal is to see if this gentle, non-invasive therapy can help the brain recover.
