First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study tested a special helmet and abdominal panel that shines near-infrared light and uses magnets on people with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease. The goal was to see if it safely improves memory and thinking after 8 weeks of daily sessions. About 60 participants were split into two groups: one got the real device, the other a fake (sham) device, and researchers compared their cognitive test results.
