Lifestyle makeover may slow kidney decline in metabolic syndrome patients

Summary
This study tests a health behavior program designed to help adults with both metabolic syndrome and chronic kidney disease reduce their waist size and improve kidney function. 160 participants will be split into two groups: one receives the program, the other standard care. Researchers will measure changes in waist circumference and kidney function right after the program and again one month later.
