Summary
This study tested whether giving lidocaine or dexmedetomidine during a bile duct procedure (ERCP) could reduce confusion and memory problems afterward in patients aged 65 and older. Thirty participants received one of the two drugs during surgery. The goal was to see which drug better protects brain function after the procedure.
