Summary
This study tested whether giving elderly patients either lidocaine or dexmedetomidine during an ERCP procedure could help prevent confusion and memory problems afterward. Thirty adults aged 65 and older took part. The goal was to see which medicine better protects brain function and reduces pain and side effects.
